Precautions for Removing and Installing Placement Heads

When removing and installing placement heads, please observe the following precautions:

a. Please perform the installation and removal of the placement head strictly in accordance with the methods described in the manual. If you remove or install the placement head while the power is still being supplied, an error (3A1F) will occur.

Note: If an error occurs, this placement head can no longer be used; please contact our company or our authorized distributor.

Press the CYCLE STOP button to halt operations.
Move the placement head using the head standby command.
Press the EMERGENCY STOP button to cut off the 200V power supply.
Open the side door.

b. Because the Y-axis linear motor shaft generates strong magnetism, please be careful not to touch the placement head against it.

c. If you have difficulty removing or installing the mounting head while holding its handle with one hand, please use your other hand to support the mounting head during the operation. Forcing the operation may cause hand soreness or cause the mounting head to collide with the machine.

Removal Method

The mounting head and the nozzle placement table use mutually corresponding models and combinations.

Press the CYCLE STOP button to stop the module operation and put it into the START standby state.
Touch the “Manual” button on the touch operation circuit board screen to display the manual mode screen.
Please touch “Unit Replacement Command”.

Please touch “Change Work Head Command”. The START waiting screen will be displayed.
Press the START button. The mounting head will move to the replacement position, and the power supply to the mounting head will be cut off.

Note: If the feeder unit -LT/LTC is mounted on the module, a guide screen for removing the feeder unit will be displayed at this time. Please follow the guide to remove the feeder unit -LT/LTC.

After confirming that there are no obstacles in front of the module, touch the “Pull Out Module” button to release the clamp, and the module will automatically move forward a certain distance.

Caution: After pressing the “Pull Out Module” button, the main body of the module will move forward by a few centimeters. Please be careful not to hit your body or other obstacles.
Note: If the module does not release, check the cause based on the displayed information. On the M3-3 module, potential causes include an incorrect position of the XS axis (entering the adjacent module). There are 3 sensors arranged in a row on the rear side of the XY manipulator; move the XS axis until 2 of these sensors (the center one and one other sensor) are both in the ON position.

Please hold the handle of the module and slowly pull out the module to the position of the stopper.

Caution:
When pulling out or inserting the module, do not forcefully pull or push it so that it hits the stopper. This may cause the installation position of the machine to shift. Please move it slowly.
When pulling out or inserting the module with the feeder unit -M, tray feeder, or component discharge conveyor track installed, move it slowly and check the status of the components after the operation. Components may shift or jump out of the tray.

8. For the V12 working head, which uses a working head with a built-in component side-face recognition function, when operating with the maximum width of the transport track specified as 230mm or less, please move it to the mounting head position. (For details, please refer to “4.3.4 Precautions when Using V12/H24 Working Heads and Working Heads with Component Side-Face Recognition Function”)

9.Please disconnect the wire plug from the mounting head. For the V12 working head, please disconnect them in the order of plug 1, plug 2, and plug 3.
